Cabin 8682 is a Connecting Ocean View Balcony on Utopia of the Seas, 182 to 198 square feet plus a private balcony of 42 to 55 square feet.

Cabin 8682 is a Connecting Ocean View Balcony on Deck 8 of Utopia of the Seas, aft of midship. There is some movement here, more than midship and a good deal less than the ends. Most people never think about it. We score it 7 out of 10 for steadiness.

You are right beside Music Hall, some 1 cabin along the corridor. Handy, though worth knowing about if you sleep lightly. A two deck live music venue on decks 3 and 4, with a raised stage, a bar on each level, a dance floor below and self levelling billiard tables above. Live bands, tribute acts, karaoke and themed nights. Worth knowing: the loudest thing on the low decks. A full PA, drums and bass, plus the crack of billiard balls upstairs, running from about 8pm until well past midnight. The exposed cabins are the deck 3 oceanviews outboard of it. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 2 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 149th cabin position of 195 along Deck 8. Deck 8 also has 150 Central Park, Izumi, Chops Grille and Park Cafe on it. There are 324 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a long walk end to end.

A Connecting Ocean View Balcony gives you 182-198 square feet. The balcony adds another 42-55 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
