Cabin 8707 is a Boardwalk View Balcony on Utopia of the Seas, 182 to 193 square feet plus a private balcony of 47 to 52 square feet.

Cabin 8707 is a Boardwalk View Balcony on Deck 8 of Utopia of the Seas, and it sits well aft. This is a long way from the pivot, so a swell reaches you before it reaches anyone midship. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 5 out of 10 for steadiness.

Nothing sits close by: it is 13 cabins to Music Hall, the nearest thing of its kind. Quiet, at the cost of a few minutes each way. A two deck live music venue on decks 3 and 4, with a raised stage, a bar on each level, a dance floor below and self levelling billiard tables above. Live bands, tribute acts, karaoke and themed nights. Worth knowing: the loudest thing on the low decks. A full PA, drums and bass, plus the crack of billiard balls upstairs, running from about 8pm until well past midnight. The exposed cabins are the deck 3 oceanviews outboard of it. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 3 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 167th cabin position of 195 along Deck 8. Deck 8 also has 150 Central Park, Izumi, Chops Grille and Park Cafe on it. There are 324 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a long walk end to end.

A Boardwalk View Balcony gives you 182-193 square feet. The balcony adds another 47-52 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
