Cabin 9701 · Legend of the Seas

Cabin 9701 is a Surfside Family Suite on Legend of the Seas. There is a double sofa bed.

Cabin 9701 is a Surfside Family Suite on Deck 9 of Legend of the Seas, and it sits aft of midship. You will feel a bit more motion than a midship cabin. Nothing dramatic. We score it 7 out of 10 for steadiness.

On the ship's plan Dry Slide is on the deck below, about 1 cabin along from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. Quiet comes out at 6 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about, 7 out of 10.

Counting from the bow, it is the 278th cabin position of 357 along Deck 9.

It is booked as a Surfside Family Suite. At suite level you are buying more than square feet. Suites almost always carry priority boarding and priority disembarkation, and the higher grades on most lines add a restaurant, a lounge or a sun deck of their own. Junior and entry level suites often get none of that, so it is worth checking what this particular grade includes rather than assuming the whole list comes with the word.

Grade changes what you earn here, which is easy to miss. Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night in a standard room and two a night in a suite, so a seven night sailing out of this cabin banks fourteen points rather than seven. Sail it on your own on a double occupancy fare and it is three a night, twenty one for the week. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is better placed for getting around than 80 per cent of them. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
