Forward lift bank, port on Freedom of the Seas
Forward lift bank, port is a lift bank on Deck 9 of Freedom of the Seas. There are 299 rated staterooms on the same deck. Across that deck we score quiet at 6 and convenience at 8 out of 10.
Freedom carries four lift banks on most decks, a port and starboard pair forward and another pair aft, so you are rarely more than half a corridor from one. These are conventional lifts with call buttons in the lobby and deck buttons inside the car.
Worth knowing. The cars are quiet. The lobby is not. What a cabin beside one hears is doors, waiting conversation and footfall in the corridor, heaviest when a show lets out and after the late dinner seating.
