Cabin 11009 · Carnival Sunshine

Cabin 11009 is a Cloud 9 Spa Balcony (category 8T1) on Carnival Sunshine, 185 to 205 square feet plus a private balcony of 35 to 44 square feet.

Cabin 11009 is a Cloud 9 Spa Balcony on Deck 11, the Serenity & SportSquare deck, of Carnival Sunshine. You are far forward. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. Out at this end you feel the sea. In rough water the movement here is noticeably stronger. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 4 out of 10 for steadiness.

We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 2 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 4th cabin position of 17 along Deck 11.

A Cloud 9 Spa Balcony gives you 185-205 square feet. The balcony adds another 35-44 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board and livelier in a swell than most of them. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who feels motion badly and anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
