Cabin 1110 · Carnival Splendor

Cabin 1110 is a Cloud 9 Spa Balcony (category 8S1) on Carnival Splendor, 185 to 205 square feet plus a private balcony of 35 to 44 square feet.

Cabin 1110 is a Cloud 9 Spa Balcony on Deck 11, the Spa deck, of Carnival Splendor, forward of midship. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. There is some movement here, more than midship and a good deal less than the ends. Most people never think about it. We score it 6 out of 10 for steadiness.

Serenity sits on the deck above, roughly 1 cabin along the ship from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. Quiet comes out at 6 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about, 5 out of 10.

Of the 8 cabin positions on Deck 11, this is the 5th from forward. You are about as central as the corridor gets, so it is a similar walk whichever way you turn out of your door.

The Cloud 9 Spa Balcony grade runs 185-205 square feet. The balcony adds another 35-44 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is noisier than three quarters of the 1,508 cabins on board and as well placed for getting around as any cabin aboard. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
