Carnival Splendor is a roughly 113,600-gross-ton ship carrying about 3,012 guests, delivered in 2008 by Fincantieri.

Early in her career she suffered a 2010 engine-room fire off Mexico that left her adrift, a widely reported incident. After service on the US West Coast and in Australia she now sails Caribbean itineraries, carrying a large spa and the signature Carnival Lido features.
