Cabin 11708 · Star of the Seas

Cabin 11708 is a Family Infinite Ocean View Balcony on Star of the Seas.

Cabin 11708 is a Family Infinite Ocean View Balcony on Deck 11 of Star of the Seas, and it sits well aft. Out at this end you feel the sea. In rough water the movement here is noticeably stronger. We score it 6 out of 10 for steadiness.

Nothing sits close by: it is 13 cabins to the aft lift bank, the nearest thing of its kind. That buys you quiet. It also means a proper walk with your bags on embarkation day. The aft lift and stair lobby on deck 11. Star uses destination control: you choose your deck at the panel outside and it tells you which car to take, so there are no buttons inside the cars. The lobby is also the main stair landing for this end of the ship. Worth knowing: destination control panels are outside the lift, not inside it. Cabins immediately beside a lobby hear doors and voices at every hour, and the lobbies are busiest just after a show finishes. Quiet comes out at 8 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about, 5 out of 10.

Counting from the bow, it is the 258th cabin position of 318 along Deck 11.

It is booked as a Family Infinite Ocean View Balcony. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is quieter than 88 per cent of the 2,813 cabins on board. It suits light sleepers.
