Cabin 12246 is an Ocean View with Large Balcony on Deck 12 of Allure of the Seas, and it sits midship. This is the steady part of the ship. When it gets lumpy, midship is where you want to be. We score it 8 out of 10 for steadiness.

Nothing sits close by: it is 9 cabins to the aft lift bank, the nearest thing of its kind. That buys you quiet. It also means a proper walk with your bags on embarkation day. The aft lift bank on deck 12. Worth knowing: the highest of the aft cabin lobbies, with the AquaTheater below and the Windjammer above. Quiet comes out at 6 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about, 6 out of 10.

Counting from the bow, it is the 84th cabin position of 181 along Deck 12. You are about as central as the corridor gets, so it is a similar walk whichever way you turn out of your door.

An Ocean View with Large Balcony gives you 195 square feet. The balcony adds another 39 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

On loyalty, this is a standard grade, so Crown and Anchor credits its base one cruise point a night. There are exactly two ways to double that: move up to a suite, or sail on your own on a double occupancy fare. Either pays two a night, and doing both pays three. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is steadier in a swell than 87 per cent of them and further from the action than most. It suits travellers prone to seasickness. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes.
