Cabin 12747 · Star of the Seas

Cabin 12747 is a Surfside Family View Balcony on Star of the Seas.

Cabin 12747 is a Surfside Family View Balcony on Deck 12 of Star of the Seas, and it sits well aft. This is a long way from the pivot, so a swell reaches you before it reaches anyone midship. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 2 out of 10 for steadiness. If you are at all prone to seasickness, look elsewhere.

Quiet comes out at 6 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about it is 4 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 301st cabin position of 311 along Deck 12. Deck 12 also has Vitality Spa on it. There are 349 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a long walk end to end.

It is booked as a Surfside Family View Balcony. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

On loyalty, this is a standard grade, so Crown and Anchor credits its base one cruise point a night. There are exactly two ways to double that: move up to a suite, or sail on your own on a double occupancy fare. Either pays two a night, and doing both pays three. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is livelier in a swell than most of them and further from the action than most. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes, anyone who feels motion badly and anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
