Cabin 2418 · Carnival Venezia

Cabin 2418 is an Interior (category 4B1) on Carnival Venezia, 149 to 185 square feet.

Cabin 2418 is an Interior on Deck 2 of Carnival Venezia. You are well aft. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. This is a long way from the pivot, so a swell reaches you before it reaches anyone midship. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 6 out of 10 for steadiness.

Casino sits two decks up, roughly 3 cabins along the ship from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 3 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Of the 231 cabin positions on Deck 2, this is the 178th from forward.

The Interior grade runs 149-185 square feet. No window, which makes it the darkest and cheapest room on board and, for a lot of people, the best sleep they get all week. If waking to daylight matters to you, an ocean view is the smallest step up.

Against the rest of the ship it is noisier than three quarters of the 2,045 cabins on board. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
