Cabin 2505 · Carnival Venezia

Cabin 2505 is an Interior Upper/Lower (category 1A1) on Carnival Venezia, 160 square feet.

Cabin 2505 is an Interior Upper/Lower on Deck 2 of Carnival Venezia, and it sits well aft. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. You are well out towards the end of the hull, which is where pitching is felt hardest. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 3 out of 10 for steadiness. If you are at all prone to seasickness, look elsewhere.

A stairwell sits two decks up, roughly 2 cabins along the ship from you. You will still walk to the stairs or the lift to reach it, so treat it as a landmark rather than a neighbour. We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about, 8 out of 10.

Of the 231 cabin positions on Deck 2, this is the 221st from forward.

The Interior Upper/Lower grade runs 160 square feet. No window, which makes it the darkest and cheapest room on board and, for a lot of people, the best sleep they get all week. If waking to daylight matters to you, an ocean view is the smallest step up.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board, livelier in a swell than most of them and as well placed for getting around as any cabin aboard. It suits light sleepers and families running back to the cabin several times a day. It is a poor fit for anyone who feels motion badly.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
