Cabin 5227 · Carnival Venezia

Cabin 5227 is a Terrazza Cabana (category TE1) on Carnival Venezia, 185 square feet plus a private balcony of 100 square feet.

Cabin 5227 is a Terrazza Cabana on Deck 5 of Carnival Venezia. You are well aft. This is a long way from the pivot, so a swell reaches you before it reaches anyone midship. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 6 out of 10 for steadiness.

On the ship's plan Casino is on the deck below, about 9 cabins along from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 4 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 20th cabin position of 34 along Deck 5. You are about as central as the corridor gets, so it is a similar walk whichever way you turn out of your door.

A Terrazza Cabana gives you 185 square feet. The balcony adds another 100 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is noisier than three quarters of the 2,045 cabins on board and better placed for getting around than 76 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
