Cabin 5338 · Carnival Sunshine

Cabin 5338 is an Interior (category 4D1) on Carnival Sunshine, 149 to 185 square feet.

Cabin 5338 is an Interior on Deck 5, the Promenade deck, of Carnival Sunshine. You are well aft. You are well out towards the end of the hull, which is where pitching is felt hardest. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 3 out of 10 for steadiness. If you are at all prone to seasickness, look elsewhere.

On the ship's plan Piano Bar is on the deck below, about 1 cabin along from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. Quiet comes out at 8 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about, 5 out of 10.

Counting from the bow, it is the 23rd cabin position of 25 along Deck 5. That puts you right at the aft end of the run, where the corridor stops and the footfall dies away.

An Interior gives you 149-185 square feet. No window, which makes it the darkest and cheapest room on board and, for a lot of people, the best sleep they get all week. If waking to daylight matters to you, an ocean view is the smallest step up.

Against the rest of the ship it is noisier than three quarters of the 1,507 cabins on board, livelier in a swell than most of them and as well placed for getting around as any cabin aboard. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who feels motion badly.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
