Cabin 6162 · Carnival Sunshine

Cabin 6162 is a Balcony (category 8A1) on Carnival Sunshine, 168 to 205 square feet plus a private balcony of 35 to 46 square feet.

Cabin 6162 is a Balcony on Deck 6 of Carnival Sunshine, and it sits forward of midship. You will feel a bit more motion than a midship cabin. Nothing dramatic. We score it 6 out of 10 for steadiness.

On the ship's plan the lift bank is two decks down, about 28 cabins along from you. You will still walk to the stairs or the lift to reach it, so treat it as a landmark rather than a neighbour. We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 2 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 26th cabin position of 103 along Deck 6.

A Balcony gives you 168-205 square feet. The balcony adds another 35-46 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
