Cabin 6317 · Carnival Sunshine

Cabin 6317 is a Balcony (category 8B) on Carnival Sunshine.

Cabin 6317 is a Balcony on Deck 6 of Carnival Sunshine, aft of midship. There is some movement here, more than midship and a good deal less than the ends. Most people never think about it. We score it 6 out of 10 for steadiness.

On the ship's plan Library is two decks down, about 4 cabins along from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 3 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 83rd cabin position of 103 along Deck 6.

It is booked as a Balcony. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board and better placed for getting around than 87 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
