Cabin 8011A · Valiant Lady
Deck 8 · Virgin Voyages
Cabin 8011A is a Cheeky Corner Suite - Pretty Big Terrace on Deck 8 of Valiant Lady, well aft. Out at this end you feel the sea. In rough water the movement here is noticeably stronger. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 2 out of 10 for steadiness. If you are at all prone to seasickness, look elsewhere.
On the ship's plan The Dock House Bar is on the deck below, about 6 cabins along from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 3 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.
Counting from the bow, it is the 127th cabin position of 128 along Deck 8. That puts you right at the aft end of the run, where the corridor stops and the footfall dies away.
A Cheeky Corner Suite - Pretty Big Terrace gives you 615-617.5 square feet. At suite level you are buying more than square feet. Suites almost always carry priority boarding and priority disembarkation, and the higher grades on most lines add a restaurant, a lounge or a sun deck of their own. Junior and entry level suites often get none of that, so it is worth checking what this particular grade includes rather than assuming the whole list comes with the word.
On loyalty, Sailing Club counts completed voyages rather than nights or grade, so RockStar Quarters move you along at exactly the same rate as an Insider cabin. The room is the whole of what you are paying for here, which is unusual and worth knowing. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.
Against the rest of the ship it is livelier in a swell than most of them. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who feels motion badly and anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
