Editorial The sister that keeps getting Brilliant Lady's best ideas
Valiant Lady is functionally Scarlet Lady with a European accent, and after her May 2026 dry dock she carries the newest dining concept in the fleet, Ariya, chef Maneet Chauhan's modern Indian restaurant that replaced Razzle Dazzle. She has spent her whole career on the Portsmouth, Barcelona and Caribbean triangle, which makes her the easiest Lady Ship for UK Sailors to reach without flying. Strengths and limits mirror the class: superb included dining, adults only calm, compact cabins, and a layout that rewards reading the deck plan. Choosing a cabin: the 1,408 cabin layout matches Resilient and Brilliant, with cabins on decks 5 and 8 through 15; midship on 10 to 12 is the safe zone, solo Insiders serve one person well, and RockStar Quarters on the upper decks add Richard's Rooftop access if the budget allows.

Valiant Lady is the second of Virgin Voyages' Lady Ships, floated out at Fincantieri's Sestri Ponente yard in May 2020 and delivered on July 1, 2021. She entered service on March 18, 2022 with a three night voyage from Portsmouth, England to Zeebrugge, the line's first UK departure, and has since split her time between Mediterranean summers from Barcelona, northern Europe seasons from Portsmouth, and Caribbean winters. A May 2026 dry dock at Fincantieri Palermo brought Brilliant Lady concepts aboard, most visibly converting Razzle Dazzle into Ariya, chef Maneet Chauhan's modern Indian restaurant. Virgin has announced she will open the line's first Scandinavia and Baltic season in summer 2028. Like her sisters she carries about 2,770 Sailors at double occupancy in 1,408 cabins, all adults.

About the Lady Ships
The four Lady Ships are near identical sisters built by Fincantieri at Sestri Ponente, Genoa: about 110,000 gross tons and 277 metres, with roughly 1,400 cabins and capacity for about 2,770 Sailors at double occupancy plus 1,150 crew. Virgin publishes no formal class designation; the line brands the quartet its Lady Ships. Scarlet Lady led the class into service in 2021, followed by Valiant Lady (2022), Resilient Lady (2023) and Brilliant Lady (2025), which carries an adapted frame that allows Panama Canal transit.
