Cabin 8526 · Star of the Seas
Deck 8 · Royal Caribbean International
Cabin 8526 is an Ocean View Balcony on Star of the Seas, 182 to 198 square feet plus a private balcony of 42 to 55 square feet.
Cabin 8526 is an Ocean View Balcony on Deck 8 of Star of the Seas. You are far forward. This is a long way from the pivot, so a swell reaches you before it reaches anyone midship. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 5 out of 10 for steadiness.
Nothing sits close by: it is 20 cabins to Lincoln Park Supper Club, the nearest thing of its kind. Quiet, at the cost of a few minutes each way. Star's signature restaurant, an eight course American menu served in a 1930s Chicago supper club setting, with singers and a band performing between courses. Worth knowing: one long sitting of about three hours with live music throughout, so it finishes late. It is the hardest table on the ship to book. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about, 5 out of 10.
Counting from the bow, it is the 34th cabin position of 290 along Deck 8. Deck 8 also has Izumi in the Park, Lincoln Park Supper Club, Central Park and Chops Grille on it. There are 315 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a long walk end to end.
An Ocean View Balcony gives you 182-198 square feet. The balcony adds another 42-55 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.
On loyalty, this is a standard grade, so Crown and Anchor credits its base one cruise point a night. There are exactly two ways to double that: move up to a suite, or sail on your own on a double occupancy fare. Either pays two a night, and doing both pays three. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.
Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board. It suits light sleepers.
Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
