Cabin 9509 · Carnival Venezia

Cabin 9509 is a Terrazza Aft-View Extended Balcony (category TI1) on Carnival Venezia, 185 square feet plus a private balcony of 60 to 100 square feet.

Cabin 9509 is a Terrazza Aft-View Extended Balcony on Deck 9 of Carnival Venezia, and it sits well aft. This is a long way from the pivot, so a swell reaches you before it reaches anyone midship. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 4 out of 10 for steadiness.

We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about, 8 out of 10.

Counting from the bow, it is the 215th cabin position of 217 along Deck 9. That puts you right at the aft end of the run, where the corridor stops and the footfall dies away.

A Terrazza Aft-View Extended Balcony gives you 185 square feet. The balcony adds another 60-100 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board, livelier in a swell than most of them and as well placed for getting around as any cabin aboard. It suits light sleepers and families running back to the cabin several times a day. It is a poor fit for anyone who feels motion badly.
