Cabin G29 is a Junior Suite (category JT1) on Carnival Elation, 220 to 340 square feet plus a private balcony of 20 to 40 square feet. There is a double sofa bed.

Cabin G29 is a Junior Suite on Deck 14, the Grand deck, of Carnival Elation, and it sits midship. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. That is about as close to the ship's pivot point as you can get, and in a swell you will feel it less here than anywhere else on board. We score it 8 out of 10 for steadiness.

On the ship's plan Salon is two decks down, about 3 cabins along from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 4 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 27th cabin position of 27 along Deck 14. That puts you right at the aft end of the run, where the corridor stops and the footfall dies away.

A Junior Suite gives you 220-340 square feet. The balcony adds another 20-40 on top of that. At suite level you are buying more than square feet. Suites almost always carry priority boarding and priority disembarkation, and the higher grades on most lines add a restaurant, a lounge or a sun deck of their own. Junior and entry level suites often get none of that, so it is worth checking what this particular grade includes rather than assuming the whole list comes with the word.

A word on loyalty, because the grade misleads people here. Carnival Rewards replaced VIFP on 1 September 2026 and it counts what you spend, not the nights you sail or the room you book, so this suite earns at the same rate per dollar as an interior does. What the grade buys you is the room and the service, not faster status. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is noisier than three quarters of the 1,120 cabins on board, steadier in a swell than 77 per cent of them and better placed for getting around than 82 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers and travellers prone to seasickness. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
