Cabin P207 · Carnival Elation

Cabin P207 is a Balcony (category 8E1) on Carnival Elation, 168 to 205 square feet plus a private balcony of 35 to 46 square feet.

Cabin P207 is a Balcony on Deck 9, the Promenade deck, of Carnival Elation, well aft. Out at this end you feel the sea. In rough water the movement here is noticeably stronger. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 5 out of 10 for steadiness.

On the ship's plan Piano Bar is on the deck below, about 7 cabins along from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 3 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 7th cabin position of 26 along Deck 9.

A Balcony gives you 168-205 square feet. The balcony adds another 35-46 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is noisier than three quarters of the 1,120 cabins on board. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
