Cabin P226 · Carnival Elation

Cabin P226 is an Interior (category 4E1) on Carnival Elation, 149 to 185 square feet.

Cabin P226 is an Interior on Deck 9, the Promenade deck, of Carnival Elation, well aft. Out at this end you feel the sea. In rough water the movement here is noticeably stronger. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 4 out of 10 for steadiness.

On the ship's plan Mark Twain is on the deck below, about 10 cabins along from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 3 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 25th cabin position of 26 along Deck 9. That puts you right at the aft end of the run, where the corridor stops and the footfall dies away.

An Interior gives you 149-185 square feet. No window, which makes it the darkest and cheapest room on board and, for a lot of people, the best sleep they get all week. If waking to daylight matters to you, an ocean view is the smallest step up.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board and livelier in a swell than most of them. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who feels motion badly and anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
