Disney Destiny

Disney Destiny is the third ship of Disney Cruise Line's Wish class, sometimes called the Triton class, following Disney Wish in 2022 and Disney Treasure in 2024. Meyer Werft delivered her on 15 October 2025 and she sailed her maiden voyage on 20 November 2025 from Port Everglades, the first new Disney ship to debut outside Port Canaveral. She measures roughly 144,000 gross tons across 1,256 staterooms, carries about 2,500 guests at double occupancy and close to 4,000 with every berth filled, and runs on liquefied natural gas. The single organising idea is duality: heroes and villains, light against dark, carried through art, venues and shows.

What separates her from her sisters is a set of named rooms rather than a new hull. Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King is the rotational restaurant unique to this ship, with pan African influenced cooking and live performers. De Vil's is an adults only piano lounge built around Cruella, Cask and Cannon a Pirates of the Caribbean pub, and The Sanctum a Doctor Strange lounge. The Grand Hall is Wakanda influenced and anchored by a Black Panther statue, the Walt Disney Theatre carries an exclusive Hercules production, and the AquaMouse attraction adds a villains show. Much else, 1923, Worlds of Marvel, Haunted Mansion Parlor, Palo Steakhouse and Enchante, is shared with Wish and Treasure.

The review record remains short. Cruise Critic's editorial praise centres on the theming and on Pride Lands, while noting that main dining cookery is aimed at children rather than intricate plates. Disney Tourist Blog places Destiny above Wish but below Treasure, rating the entertainment and food highly and criticising the Wish class layout, weak wayfinding and a heroes and villains concept it calls fragmented and too heavily Marvel. Guest ratings so far cluster around four out of five on a modest sample, so treat any consensus as provisional. The price premium is real: Cruisehive notes mainstream lines routinely sell week long sailings under 1,000 dollars per person, while The Points Guy quotes a three night Destiny sailing from about 1,916 dollars per person inside.

She suits multi generational families, Marvel and Disney enthusiasts, and anyone who values production entertainment and character work above ports. She suits poorly those wanting long itineraries, deep destination time, quiet adult only ships, or value per night.

**What this means for choosing a cabin.** Cruise Critic counts 877 verandah rooms, about 70 percent of the total, against 170 oceanview and 123 inside. Larger oceanview and verandah categories use a split bath, toilet and sink in one compartment, tub shower and sink in the other, which matters with four or five sharing. Verandah cabins sit on decks 6 to 11. Decks 7 to 9 are the buffered, quieter band; deck 11 sits near dining venues and deck 2 near the kids clubs and nursery.
