Disney Wish

Disney Wish entered service in July 2022 as the first of Disney Cruise Line's Wish class, built at Meyer Werft. She measures roughly 144,000 gross tons, carries about 2,500 guests at double occupancy and close to 4,000 when every berth is filled, and was the line's first vessel built to burn liquefied natural gas. The defining break from the Dream class is architectural. Where Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy gathered around a three deck nautical atrium, the Wish substitutes the Grand Hall, a fairytale room built around the fleet's first atrium stage, making the arrival space a performance venue.

What separates her from the older ships is countable. AquaMouse, billed as the first Disney attraction at sea, threads roughly 760 feet of tube high above the upper decks with animated show scenes. Worlds of Marvel takes the Animator's Palate slot and runs a screen led Avengers storyline through dinner. 1923 splits into Walt and Roy dining rooms serving California cuisine and acts as the ship's design centerpiece. The Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge is an adults bar staged as a starship observation deck.

Published reviews converge on the same complaints. Cruise Critic's editors rate her 4 out of 5 while naming premium pricing and a confusing deck plan with poor wayfinding as the two drawbacks. The Points Guy is blunter, describing elevators that do not all reach Deck 13, an aft stair that stops at Deck 12 and pushes guests through the children's pool area, and narrow walkways on Decks 3 and 4 that bottleneck, with AquaMouse queues reported reaching 60 minutes and no live wait time in the app. Independent Disney blogs find the Hyperspace Lounge visually impressive but light on physical theming, and the Marvel dinner more screen than interaction. Fares sit well above mainstream lines for a comparable cabin, the fairest single criticism of the ship.

For 2026, published schedules place her on three and four night Bahamas runs from Port Canaveral, calling at Nassau and Castaway Cay. The short format suits families with young children, Disney regulars who want the newest hardware, and multigenerational groups splitting a suite. It suits less well those wanting sea days, a proper walking track, quiet public rooms, or value measured per night.

**What this means for choosing a cabin.** About 70 percent of the roughly 1,254 staterooms have verandahs, against 121 inside cabins and 185 oceanviews, so a balcony is close to the default rather than an upgrade. Most categories keep Disney's split bath, a toilet and sink in one compartment and a tub shower with a second sink in another, still a practical advantage over rival lines for families. Cabins under the pool decks catch deck chairs dragged at dawn, the AquaMouse flume runs overhead near the top of the ship, and rooms beside elevator banks pick up corridor noise on a vessel whose lower public decks are already congested.
