Silver Whisper

Silver Whisper is the second ship of Silversea's Shadow class, a near-twin of Silver Shadow that entered service in 2001 and shares her sister's reputation for spacious, understated ultra-luxury. Built by T. Mariotti in Genoa, Italy, the roughly 28,250-gross-ton vessel carries only about 382 guests, giving her one of the most generous space-per-guest ratios in the fleet and an intimacy that has made her a favorite for extended voyages.

Like Silver Shadow, she embodies the classic Silversea formula of an all-suite ship on a small, elegant scale, offering more room and more onboard choices than the line's founding vessels while retaining the personal, club-like atmosphere that distinguished the brand from larger luxury operators. Her generous suites and refined public rooms have long suited her to long-haul itineraries, and she has become a regular performer on Silversea's world cruises.

Every accommodation aboard is a butler-serviced suite, the majority with a private teak veranda. The ship was christened by Marzia Lefebvre d'Ovidio, once again drawing a godmother from the founding Italian family whose members named several of the fleet's ships.

Registered in Nassau, Bahamas, Silver Whisper sails worldwide luxury itineraries, including full world cruises, and has deployed in recent seasons along the North American West Coast and across the Pacific. She remains in active service, a graceful and long-serving embodiment of the traditional, intimate Silversea experience.
